המתמטיקה היא בסיס למדעים רבים אחרים ומעמדה זה הולך ומתחזק עם התפתחות העולם המודרני. המורה למתמטיקה זקוק לבסיס ידע עמוק ורחב, להפנמת מושגים מתמטיים בסיסיים, לדרך חשיבה מובנית והגיונית ולראייה כללית של מבנה המקצוע
מטרת הלימודים
> להעניק ידע והבנה של מגוון התחומים, בסיסיים ומתקדמים.
> להבהיר את תפקידה של המתמטיקה ככלי לפיתוח חשיבה, כבסיס וכחלק מן המבנה המדעי המודרני.
> לפתח ולטפח אצל הלומדים כושר דידקטי המושתת על הבנה טובה ועמוקה של המקצוע
> לפתח יצירתיות במתמטיקה וחשיבה עצמאית ולא שגרתית.
תנאי קבלה
> למסלול בית הספר היסודי- ציון 85 בבחינת הבגרות במתמטיקה ברמה של 3 יח"ל או ציון 75 ברמה של 4 יח"ל.
> למסלול העל-יסודי- ציון 80 בבחינת הבגרות במתמטיקה ברמה של 4 יח"ל או ציון של 75ברמה של 5 יח"ל.

מועמדים שאינם עומדים בדרישות אלה יגישו בקשה מנומקת למדור מידע והרשמה.
